3 POSSIBLE REASONS YOU’RE BROKE

Have you ever sat down to wonder why you earn so much, yet you can’t seem to be able to save enough to take care of yourself from month to month? The truth is there are so many people in the same shoes, and the reasons aren’t far from the following…

YOU CAN’T SEPARATE YOUR NEEDS FROM YOUR WANTS

Confusion is a very serious problem. It can drive you to make very regrettable choices. There are many people who can’t separate their needs from wants, and that’s why they have continued to cry about being broke from month to month.

In order to have healthy finances, and be able to save money, you should know to separate the two. Doing that means having an understanding of what they represent. A need is a very important want; and one you can’t survive without. Examples are transportation to work, feeding, housing, etc. A want on the other hand is something you can do without. Yes you want it, but you know without it you’d still be good.

A lot of people spend money they could use for other important things on useless wants, and so they suffer.

LACK OF SAVINGS

Saving money is the surest way to have a pleasant future. The more you save, the more you have to spend tomorrow when things stop going the way they once did, because the truth is they always do. If you don’t get laid off, you’ll eventually reach retirement. Imagine retiring with nothing to fall back on.  Of course, it’s not just about your old age; it’s also about your near future. There are going to be unforeseen contingencies; you can’t take care of them without some savings.

You need to learn that saving culture. Because it is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

LACK OF DIVERSE SOURCES OF INCOME

So many people are so comfortable earning whatever they get from their job, they fail to see the truth – it is never really enough. There are so many bills to be paid, and so much to take care of with money, that you’ll need more than a single source of income to stay afloat. When you have multiple sources of getting money, you’re never worried about one source failing, because you have something else to fall on.
