You only have one life to live, and it would be unfair to treat your life like it isn’t worth it — it definitely is.
Life’s journey could come with certain worries and troubles that could knock us off our feet. However, it isn’t the troubles that matter most, but how you react to them.
If you give in to those life issues, you wouldn’t love your life — and what’s the essence of life if you aren’t going to love it?
There are simple things to do to love your life again.
1. DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY
This is one simple tip to loving your life again. A lot of people hate their lives because they spend a bulk of it doing what they don’t really love, and then live in regrets when it’s already late. Live your life to the fullest, do what brings you joy, do what makes you happy — and you would find a reason to love life again.
2. ENJOY NATURE
Have you noticed the peace and feeling of warmth nature could bring? Merely the touch of the ocean’s breeze on your skin could bring you to life, or the view of the ocean splashing its waters back and forth. Trees, gardens, rocks and mountains; there is something about nature that we haven’t tapped yet — nature would definitely give you that reason to feel great deep within.
3. APPRECIATE YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
One reason people get tired of life is the fact that they fail to appreciate that which they have achieved, while aiming for more.
Take a look at how far you have come and all the great things you have achieved thus far — appreciating your today would give a reason to live for tomorrow.
4. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE
The people you have around you matter a lot; surround yourself with people who are positive minded and who want the best in life and work towards it. The people you surround yourself with have a huge impact on your life.
5. HAVE THE GRACE TO ACCEPT THAT WHICH YOU CANNOT CHANGE
There are certain things in life that you can’t change; accepting them would make life easier for you, but not knowing how to would make your life hard and uneasy. Learn to accept that which is beyond your means and which you cannot change.
6. TRAVEL MORE
Travelling would open your mind to newer things, and this would definitely give you a reason to love your life one more time. If you cannot afford to travel to a new country, then visit a new town; learn to explore and see the beauty of life.
7. ACCEPT THE LOVE PEOPLE GIVE YOU
It’s selfish and unfair to hate life when you have a lot of people who love you dearly. Learn to appreciate the love of friends and family, and everyone that matters to you. You would have a reason to enjoy life when you understand that love abounds in it.
8. SURPRISE YOURSELF
Learn to do things differently; go out of your usual routine to give yourself surprises. Life is more fun when it’s full of surprises. Break the routine, do things differently, see another aspect of life and you would see an aspect of your life you didn’t even know existed.
9. IMPROVE YOURSELF
Remember how you felt as a kid whenever you had an A in your test or exams or even an assignment? This shows that there is a good feeling that comes with being successful or self-improvement.
Work on yourself, develop and learn new skills; this would help you love your life again.
10. FORGET THE PAST
There is one definite thing you cannot change — the past. Trying to alter the past or not living beyond it would leave you in regrets. Forget the past, live in today and plan for tomorrow. You can never love your life if all you think of is the past.
11. PASSION
There are two ways your passion can propel you to love your life again. First, follow your passion and secondly find a new passion. Passion gives you a new and renewed energy to make you live life.
12. LEARN TO FORGIVE
Forgiveness is another great way to help you love your life. You are at peace with yourself when you know you have a clear conscience and hold nothing against yourself. However, you hold a lot when you don’t forgive, and this would destroy your inner peace.
13. LEARN TO SEE THE BEST IN PEOPLE
Greed and jealousy would never help your life, and this happens because you don’t see the best in people. You would have a much better life when you see the best in people, and this would help you against unhealthy comparisons.
14. LOVE YOUR BODY
You would never be able to love your life when you can’t even love your body. Yes, you might have a not-so-good body compared to others, but it doesn’t mean you have to be perfect to feel beautiful. See yourself as beautiful, work hard to have a good body and eat healthy too. Love your body and take good care of it too; it would be easier to live life if you can do this.
15. BE A DREAMER
What’s life without dreams? I would tell you. Life without dreams can equate to no electricity, no airplanes, no cars and no inventions. Those where people’s dreams and they either achieved it or played a huge role for it to be possible. Be a dreamer; there is nothing wrong in having dreams, but it’s totally unhealthy not to have dreams.
16. DON’T LIVE LIFE TO PLEASE OTHERS
You can hardly live life when you try to please others. Living your life to please others is a risky way of living and can pose certain risks that would lead to your unhappiness. Live your life to the fullest; you can never please everyone.
In the words of Mark Twain: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.”
So why don’t you live your life to the fullest and love every bit of it than live in regrets in future.
