13 WAYS TO RECOGNISE A GOOD PARTNER

cover

Having a good partner makes the relationship / marriage easier, loving and understanding; when with a good partner, everything just seems easier and less complicated.

Do you have a good partner?  These are some of the ways to recognise a bad partner:

1. A GOOD PARTNER UNDERSTANDS THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION

A good partner knows that communication is highly needed for a relationship to be successful; they keep communication going between themselves and their partner and they try to develop better ways of communicating with their partner to build understanding and reduce unnecessary quarrels and arguments.

2. A GOOD PARTNER ISN’T CONTROLLING

A good partner doesn’t try to control everything in the relationship; they don’t try to force their opinions on their partner and let only their will be done. A good partner doesn’t hold the relationship to ransom; they don’t make the relationship only about them.

3. A GOOD PARTNER ISN’T SELFISH

A good partner doesn’t just think of himself alone; a good partner is considerate and doesn’t just think about self. A good partner can compromise when necessary and can even go the extra mile for his/her partner.

4. A GOOD PARTNER RESPECTS HIS/HER PARTNER

A good partner doesn’t treat their partner with disrespect; no matter their class or status, they treat their partner with respect.

5. A GOOD PARTNER TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS/HER ACTIONS

A good partner doesn’t play the blame game; they accept their mistakes and try to change from it. A good partner isn’t the one who blames their partner for every wrong that happens in the relationship.

6.  A GOOD PARTNER IS HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY

A good partner isn’t deceitful; a good partner isn’t the type that’s unfaithful, deceitful and full of lies. A good partner is someone who can be trusted.

7. A GOOD PARTNER WON’T COMPARE YOU TO OTHERS

A good partner is one that understands that it’s unhealthy to compare their partner to others; they don’t make ridiculous comparisons and they understand that no one is perfect — that we all make mistakes.

8. THEY DO ALL THEY CAN TO MAKE THEIR PARTNER HAPPY

Good partners don’t just think of their own happiness; they think of the happiness of their partners too and they do all they can to make their partner happy. They always love to put a smile on their partner’s face; a good partner is happy when their partner is happy.

9. A GOOD PARTNER DOESN’T COUNT SCORES

A good partner won’t keep scores of all your mistakes and remind you of it; no, they forgive easily and focus more on the present and future than on the past.

10. THEY LOVE GENUINELY

A good partner loves genuinely; they are genuine with their emotions and love their partner sincerely. They don’t have time for half-baked love; they love from their heart and their love cannot be doubted.

11. THEY AREN’T JUST INTO RECEIVING

Some partners only think of what they can get from the other, but never a good partner; a good partner isn’t just in for what they can get; they also give; they understand that the weight of the relationship shouldn’t be put on one partner.

12. THEY ARE RELIABLE, DEPENDABLE AND SUPPORTIVE

A good partner is someone you can rely on without regretting. A good partner is also someone who will be there for you and encourage you to be best you can be. A good partner brings out the best in you.

13. THEY PUT EFFORTS INTO MAKING THE RELATIONSHIP WORK

A good partner doesn’t just leave everything in the other partner’s hands; they put consistent effort into making the relationship work. They value their relationships and do their best to make it better.

A good partner isn’t really the definition of perfect, but a good partner is someone you can build a good relationship with, without harbouring regrets.
