Everyone loves to be in a good relationship and have a great marriage; but you have to admit that these things don’t always pan out as planned, and these could lead to you being single.

Being single isn’t a terrible thing; there are some benefits that come with being single, and if you find yourself single, you have to embrace singleness.

These are some of those surprising benefits that come with being single:

1. YOU HAVE LOTS OF TIME

Relationships are time-consuming, but with singleness you save yourself a lot of time. Time is precious, time can never be gotten back, and with singleness, you have tons of saved time.

2. YOU HAVE TIME TO DEVELOP YOURSELF

When single, you have time to work on yourself and develop yourself. Singleness provide you the opportunity to work on your flaws, work on your body and also work on your mind; this isn’t always possible when you have a partner.

3. YOU WOULD SAVE MONEY

Relationships are expensive; from calls to dates and gifts and many other countless things that cost money. When single, you save yourself all the expenses that come with relationships.

4. YOU SAVE YOUR EMOTIONS SOME STRESS

Relationships can be quite stressful; from thinking about a partner to getting hurt come with a lot of stress. Arguments and fight are some of the regular relationship stress factors.

5. YOU HAVE A ‘ME TIME’

Me time is a very important time you create for yourself to do things you really love or just be by yourself. It could be a time to meditate, a time to have fun or a time to recreate yourself; singleness provides you that opportunity.

6. OPPORTUNITY TO MEET NEW AND EXCITING PEOPLE

This is another advantage of being single. When you are in a relationship, the commitment of your relationship limits you from meeting new people for various reasons. However, with singleness, you get the opportunity to meet new and exciting people.

7. DISTRACTION IS REDUCED

Relationships could be distracting; a lot of people think of their partners during working hours and many even go on to communicate with their partners during times when they should be productive. With singleness, the distraction of keeping up with a partner on your mobile phone and other mediums is significantly reduced.

8. A CHANCE TO BUILD YOUR CREATIVITY

Except with a partner that inspires and motivates you, singleness provides you with the opportunity to be creative and expand your thinking capacity. You are most creative when you are alone; this gives you the chance to absorb lots of information and think things through.

9. YOU HAVE MORE TIME TO SPEND WITH FRIENDS

When you are in a relationship, your time with friends is significantly reduced because you have a partner that deserves your time as well. But with singleness, you create more time to spend with friends who are real and true to you.

10. YOU LEARN TO BE SELF-DEPENDENT

After suffering from a heart-break or going through a break up, you somehow teach yourself to be stronger and you learn to depend more on yourself. But when you are in a relationship, you tend to depend on your partner in one way or the other; but singleness teaches you to be stronger.

Not taking anything away from being in a relationship; it’s a lovely thing if you have found someone you share a beautiful relationship with. But being single isn’t so bad after all, and it’s way better than being in a toxic relationship.
