If you didn’t know that there are a lot of men out there who are truly jealous of their partner’s success, then you need to know that now. There actually are people like that in real life, not just on TV, and here are some of the ways the jealousy is manifested.

HE BUYS IMPULSIVELY

Obviously, we’re all guilty of buying things we didn’t plan for once we’re at the mall, but if it’s more frequent than normal, and it tells on his pockets, then there’s a problem. It’s either he’s stupid or he’s simply trying to impress you and show off, so you think he’s just as rich as you are.

HE’S ALWAYS LOOKING FOR AN EXCUSE TO PICK UP A FIGHT WITH YOU

Fights too are normal, but if they happen only when you talk about your work, then, it’s probably because your man isn’t comfortable with the fact that you’re doing better or as well as he is. Perhaps, you have to make a business trip or you simply tell him about a remarkable achievement, and he’s rubbing it on your face for no real reason, or he’s complaining about how you have to leave town always; probably insinuating inappropriate things, something is just not right with that.

HE TALKS ABOUT HIS OWN ACCOMPLISHMENTS, AND RARELY CONGRATULATES YOU

If every time you tell your man about a recent achievement or accomplishment at work, he somehow starts going on and on about how he has done similar things in the past, well, something isn’t right there. There are even situations that are so bad, he won’t even congratulate you.

HE NEEDS YOU TO CONGRATULATE HIM ALL THE TIME

The reason isn’t because he’s really doing something remarkable, he just needs to hear it, so he feels important and valuable, as he thinks it’s a way of measuring up with you.

HE NEVER WANTS TO FOLLOW YOU TO WORK EVENTS

Maybe there’s a dinner party or an award night by your company, and you need his presence there as your number 2, but he constantly declines to go with you. It may be because he feels he doesn’t measure up and won’t fit in with your colleagues at work. This isn’t a surprise because jealousy and insecurity go hand in hand.

HE BRINGS UP YOUR DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS EVERY TIME YOU ARGUE

You’re having a normal couples’ argument about something, and he suddenly starts whining about how you had to grow up with a silver spoon, and he without one; it’s a sign he’s intimidated by your seemingly superior background and success.

There’s nothing as frustrating as being with an insecure person. If you know deep inside you that you have done nothing to trigger that insecurity in your man, and you try to talk or love him out of it without luck, you’ll do yourself a lot of good to walk away from such a person.
