So much of the time we talk about our partner’s love for us but we never take out time to talk about ourselves. Is the love we have for our partner real? Just because you enjoy sex with your partner or you buy all the things money can get for your partner is no reason to boldly say you love your partner truly.
Here are ways to judge the love you have for your partner is real
1. YOUR LOVE FOR YOUR PARTNER DOESN’T RESTRICT YOUR PARTNER FROM OTHER VITAL RELATIONSHIPS
Your love is pure and true if it encourages your partner to connect with family and friends. You can’t say your love is real when you restrict your partner from communicating with family and friends. When you truly love your partner, you understand the importance of your partner’s relationship with his/her family and friends.
2. YOUR LOVE FOR YOUR PARTNER APPRECIATES YOUR PARTNER’S IMPERFECTIONS
You can’t claim to truly love your partner when you don’t love your partner’s imperfections. When you love your partner truly, you understand that there is no perfect relationship. When you truly love your partner, you will be willing to let go of your expectations of an ideal partner and love your partner for who he/she really is.
3. YOUR LOVE IS REAL WHEN YOU ARE WILLING TO CULTIVATE REAL FRIENDSHIP WITH YOUR PARTNER
Your love is true when you understand that falling in love is a process. Your love is true when you understand that true love isn’t magic and you are willing to put in time and effort to make your relationship work. Your love is true when you are not just lovers with your partner but also friends. Your love is true when you are willing to stand by your partner when the chips are down.
4. YOUR LOVE IS REAL WHEN YOU DON’T HAVE TO GIVE UP YOUR VALUES TO LOVE YOUR PARTNER
Your love is not real when you have to lie to your partner to prove your love. Your love is real when you don’t force your partner to do your will. True love doesn’t change who we are, true love makes us better.
5. YOUR LOVE IS TRUE AND REAL WHEN YOU ARE WILLING TO SACRIFICE TO MAKE YOUR PARTNER HAPPY
Your love is real when you are happy to take care of the baby in the middle of the night while your wife gets a much-needed rest. Your love is real when you give up everything you have to do just to be by your husband’s side when he is sick. You can’t claim your love is real when you are not willing to make sacrifices.
Can you confidently say your love is real?
